One thing that stays with you from the very beginning of your life and then throughout your life is books. The stories invite us into new worlds, exciting thoughts and stories that often feel incredible. Can you remember a book you read in your childhood that you particularly loved? Now it's your turn as a parent to give these experiences to your child! In fact, there is not a single bad thing about reading to your child. And the relationship with books can start when you are a baby! Even if your baby doesn't understand whole stories yet, there are lots of different types of books created just for babies.

    Talking books

From infancy, you can introduce your child to storybooks. The sound is exciting and helps your child to sharpen their ears and the motion sensors in their body to try to understand what is going on. At around 3-4 months, babies start to bring their hands to their mouths to practice their motor skills and by 5-6 months they are already making more conscious movements to understand both their body and their surroundings - meaning it's the perfect time to introduce storybooks!
