Sponsored by Länsförsäkringar
Through preventive exercise, you give your body the opportunity to cope with the great ordeal of pregnancy and the recovery afterwards. In the first video in our series on preventive exercise, Karin Lundström will guide you in how to strengthen your inner cylinder.
In the video above you will get a guided training session by Karin Lundström who has been working with pre- and postnatal training for many years. Karin will give you information about what happens in the body during pregnancy and explain why you should take care of it in a certain way. In addition, she will take you through a workout customized to take control of your body's stability. Preventive exercise is important because it can reduce the risk of injury during pregnancy, childbirth and afterwards.
The inner cylinder embraces the pelvic floor, abdomen, back and diaphragm, the body parts most affected during pregnancy. The inner cylinder helps stabilize the body and is activated by slow, light, low force exercise. Watch the video to see how you can start your preventive exercise!
Do you have Länsförsäkringar's paid pregnancy insurance? Then they reimburse SEK 500 for visits to physiotherapy! There you can take home exercises to do for any pelvic floor problems.
