Recipe for toffee with salt

If you like to make your own sweets, toffee is a great option whatever the season. This is a classic toffee recipe with a hint of vanilla and sea salt, and it's irresistible for kids and adults alike.

Cream toffee can be varied endlessly with flavoring, but one of our favorites is Camilla Hamid's variant with vanilla and sea salt. A sweet toffee where the salt is the icing on the cake! This toffee recipe takes about half an hour to make and is very simple. Stir the ingredients together, bring to the right temperature, pour and voila! The toffee needs to set for a while in the fridge before being cut into pieces to be wrapped in greaseproof paper. In addition to being incredibly tasty, this is a great little gift to give to both young and old.

Cream toffee with sea salt

The recipe yields about 30 pieces of toffee.

Ingredients:
100 g butter
3 dl whipped cream
2 dl granulated sugar
1 dl light syrup
1 tbsp vanilla sugar
2 tsp salt
Flaky salt to garnish with

Do this:
1. Start by taking out a baking sheet and placing it on a baking tray.
2. Then get out a heavy-bottomed saucepan and add the butter, whipping cream, granulated sugar, light syrup and vanilla sugar.
3. let it melt together and cook without a lid until the charcoal reaches 124-125 degrees. Do not stir too much to prevent the charcoal from crystallizing. A couple of times is enough.
4. Remove the saucepan from the heat, then add the salt and stir.
5. Take the pan and pour the batter into the mold. Leave to set in the fridge for a while before cutting it into pieces. Then wrap in greaseproof paper. It's also great to cut up baking paper and wrap in it!
