There are several ways to relieve pain, both with and without medicines, and what feels right varies from person to person. You have right to get the pain relief you want during childbirth.
The methods are often divided into two main groups:
Non-pharmacological pain relief - pain relief without drugs
It uses the body's own resources, support and relaxation to relieve pain. The aim is often to help you feel in control, safe and confident in your body's ability.
