Preventive pregnancy exercise: As the front grows, you need to strengthen the back

The female body is incredible! It creates, nurtures and carries our babies for 9 months. But as the belly grows, the body becomes heavier, which means that strengthening the seat and back becomes particularly important. Strengthening the seat and back can help prevent potential risks of injury during pregnancy, childbirth and beyond. In the third video in our series of five on preventive exercise, we will focus on strengthening the back as the front grows!

During pregnancy, the body goes through a major stress - the natural shift of the center of gravity in the body and the pelvis starting to tip forward.

In this video, Karin Lundström will go through 5 simple exercises that you can do anywhere to strengthen your body during pregnancy!** The exercises focus on the glutes and the thoracic spine, so that you can best give your body the conditions to tip back the pelvis to its normal position.

Follow along and feel what feels good to you - no exercise should hurt or feel weird!
